Privacy Policy
Clicker for iOS · Last updated October 11, 2026
This policy explains what the app does and doesn't do with your data. The short version: Clicker does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to the developer or any third party.
Local Network Access
Clicker asks for access to your local network so it can find TVs on your Wi-Fi and control them. Button presses and text you type go directly from your iPhone to your TV over your home network. They never pass through a server operated by the developer or anyone else, and typed text is not saved.
Your TV may keep its own records of connected devices or commands it receives. That is handled by your TV's manufacturer under their own privacy policy.
Data Stored On Your Device
Clicker saves a small amount of information on your device so it can reconnect to your TVs:
- The TVs you've added: their name, IP address, and system
- Pairing keys that your TV hands out when you allow the connection, so it doesn't ask again
- For Google TV and Android TV, a security certificate created on your device and kept in the iOS Keychain
- Your settings, such as haptic feedback
This information never leaves your device. You can remove a TV and its pairing at any time in Settings. Everything is deleted when you delete the app, except that iOS may keep the Keychain certificate, which contains no personal information.
Analytics and Tracking
Clicker contains no analytics, no tracking, and no advertising. No third-party SDKs are embedded in the app. The app does not connect to any server operated by the developer.
Tip Jar (In-App Purchases)
Clicker offers optional tips through Apple's In-App Purchase system. If you choose to leave a tip, the purchase is processed entirely by Apple. Clicker receives only a confirmation that the purchase succeeded — no payment details, name, email, or other personal information is shared with the developer.
Apple's handling of purchase data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
Network Access
Apart from talking to TVs on your local network, Clicker makes no network requests except those made by Apple's StoreKit framework when loading the tip options and processing a tip, if you choose to leave one.
